Make Homemade Fire Bricks

Senso-Ji - A temple in Tokyo - Ramen Around the end

On the last day in Tokyo we visited a Buddhist temple in Tokyo. The name of the temple is Senso-Ji. The first temple on this place was built around 645 AD. The present temple was built from scratch because the old one was destroyed during the Second World War.

First you have to go through a huge gate that Kaminarimon (Gate of Thunder) called. In the middle of the gate hangs a giant lantern (4 meters high, 670 kg Heavy).

then saw a road with shops for all sorts of knick-knacks but with the cherry blossom in really well. Oh the cherry on the shops are artificially ;-)

was unfortunately renovated the temple (renovation started 2 weeks before my visit ... tough luck). But compared to the pagoda was not "hidden".

In the temple could have then make a prediction. Take the container in your hand and shake. Is almost like toothpicks. Any staff comes out with a number. Then they pull out his prediction of the drawer. I was lucky and a good prediction. Bad news can get rid of, so to speak by anknotet this (see red frame).

The temple garden was beautiful and to my surprise very few visitors at the temple and in front of the temple were very many people.

everywhere it bloomed. Wonderful. Oh yes on this lamp is probably only a fakir but no dove.

At the end of the day (and then, as unfortunately the trip home on the Program), there was a genuine Japanese noodles (ramen) that we have eaten Ramen in a snack bar. Can only say one thing. Supergut. I've talked with the cook and only the soup is prepared the day before and cooked. Cooking time 18 hours. Can only say that was the best noodle soup I've ever had.

So Japan is definitely worth a visit. Unfortunately, time was too short. There is still so much to see.
"I'll be back ".....

How Many Calories In Ham And Bean Spup

Hakone - Lake Ashi - Owakudani - Hot Springs

The highlight (there were actually only ;-) which was the trip to the Hakone Resort area. How to get there?
So there are about 120 km from Tokyo and Ulrich told me that once 4 hours (or so) spent with the car. But we are relaxed and punctual went by train.

first by train from Tokyo to Hakone with the Odakyu Line.
Then connect to the Hakone Tozan Line. The girl with his grandfather was just cute. The Hakone Tozan Line winds up the mountain on switchbacks.

then were We arrived in Switzerland.

change to the Hakone Tozan Cable car (inclined railway).

the terminus of the inclined railway was in 761 meters. Then change to the cable car (Hakone Ropeway). Then we could relax once briefly. It was told how it all matched so not much time remained to breathe.
were in the gondola ride me first on the big trees of life. We know as a hedge. Here's a real forest.

And then we saw the "Valley of Hell" from above.
Owakudani .
Here you can see quite clearly that Japan is on the Pacific Ring of Fire.

flow from the soil and different gases You can imagine that, as I say, the smell was pretty heavy technical harassment. Uff ...

Two hot pans on the zone.

The whole area is 1000-1100 meters high. It walked further up to enjoy the local delicacy "Onsen Tamago. Why not ;-) ?

Onsen Tamago are nothing else than the eggs in a natural source have been cooked. Through the various minerals in the volcanic source of the calcareous shell of the egg is dyed black. Bit of salt and it tastes great. Supposedly we live seven years longer if you eat the eggs. I will have steinalt (3 eaten ....).

The "egg" at work.

Unfortunately my view was blocked on the Fuji. This could have very well seen from the mountain but Unfortunately, too many clouds. Too bad. Then it went
, on the other side, with the gondola down to the lake "Ashi".

The trip across the lake was "in style" in a pirate ship (In all honesty, really cheesy but about taste, you can even worthy of debate. My taste it was not).
I would have liked to go fishing with. Around the lake many anglers were seen. Herrlich.

After we had gone completely over the lake went there by bus. The conclusion of the day was again a great experience. A visit to a Onsen. So in order to verde throwing up there. We visited a bath which is fed by a hot spring.
In the bathroom itself, I naturally can not take photos (all nude. Men and women separate). A few hints on my part how to behave in the bath.
  1. shoes out!
  2. behave politely.
  3. not be loud.
  4. thoroughly wash and clean if it is considered to be
    note Item 5 wash
  5. AGAIN
It is very much emphasis on cleanliness, so please take my advice then you can follow the wonderful one extreme, hot Bad outdoors under bamboo enjoy. It is simply wonderful. Oh a little tip. Take care of your cycle on. There is a pool I thought, so after 5 seconds, now I have black .... (See above ).....

Then it quickly went to dinner and then taking the train back to Tokyo.
