Yes I am, as However, in default of the blog entries. Today I desire to learn about the historic water town Wuzhen report that we, in June 2009, have visited. That was a really big challenge for the children because it was Chinese right ;-) but the guys handled it great.
Wuzhen is located about 130km south-southwest of Shanghai. Wuzhen means "black town" but not because the place is gloomy or threatening but because a large family co-founded with the name "Black (Wu)" this city has for many years and had very great influence.
First rule in a water city. No cars. So cars are parked in front of the city on a large collective parking. Then, as it were, the check-in and then you get to electric cars brought to his hotel room. But a few meters on foot must run one also ;-). The historic city of water would, however, proposed to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The entrance to our hotel. Looks very old or already out?
but inside everything was okay. Two bodyguards were already positioned ;-)
The city itself is traversed by numerous canals.
are in the houses of the then small accommodation rooms and small restaurants (per restaurant no more than 4 tables allowed). Thus it remains true individual and original.
Have there by the way found the famous sack of rice - Lach.
As I said the people who work and live here even for the most part here so see for yourself ...
The ancient arts can be seen here all on site. Which are cultivated yet. It is virtually a living museum.
From raw materials, weaving over to a complete end product.
including dyeing and dry.
Wagner and there is also a slightly alternative way to heat his water.
Here is a good (cough) made rice liquor and stored.
distilled from fresh it tastes not bad. Otherwise, I would rather prefer a plum brandy from Nordheim (made by Reichert).
There was much to see but we have the return trip, the very traditional, made with a boat.
As we have seen so to speak, sometimes the other side. Since then the ham still on the air is dry (as in gentle 28 degrees I would say, fly there, too). Does anyone else hungry?
A short film from the boat.
We then also made a nighttime boat ride. Top things to do and relaxing (no cars, no honking, no hassle and no stress) or more simply "miracle Wonderful You".
also have this boat I made a small film.
In the end, then see another pagoda.
résumé of Wuzhen
Who does not see this living museum and visited the definitely missed something.
